A Targeted List contains all the people in the industry (CD’s, directors, Writers, producers) that you are targeting. These are the folks you want to work with, that you have not met, that tell the stories you tell.
A Follow-Up List contains all the industry people you JUST met whether that be over coffee, at an event, or an audition. Now you get to follow up with them to make sure you're beginning this relationship off right.
A Maintenance List contains all the people in the industry (CD’s, directors,. Writers, producers) that you’ve met throughout your career and now you are maintaining that relationship.
Why is it split like this?
It’s important to differentiate between your Targeted, Follow-Up and Maintenance Lists because you’ll be reaching out differently depending on if you’re creating, building or maintaining the relationship. Each list has specialized tasks for that level of relationship as well as specific task timelines to cultivate these relationships in a natural, yet intentional manner.
It’s also great for your manager and agents to know who you know and who you want to know!
